How Your Life Is a Reflection in The Mirror Universe

Written by admin on Feb 16th, 2009 | Filed under: Featured Article

The mirror universe is perhaps the most important and profound understanding you can have about life, because it affects literally every experience you have. It takes everything you try to externalize and says there is nothing external. When you finally realize that the universe is a perfect mirror, reflecting back to you precisely and exactly what you have been holding in consciousness at the deepest levels, your life will change.

The Cosmic Mirror

Most people experience the majority of their thoughts and feelings in response to what they are experiencing in their life. For instance, there are bills to pay, meetings to attend, problems to solve and some things not going the way one would want. When those are the kinds of things that occupy a person’s mind rather than being focused on what that person does want, the universe reflects back to that person what they projected with their thoughts and feelings at both a conscious and subconscious level.

What turns out to be your mirrors are your friends, relatives, family, work, talents, situations, possessions, capabilities, opportunities, and everything else in your life. If you want to know what you believe, simply look at your life-It is a perfect reflection of what beliefs you hold at a very deep level.

Here Comes Karma

Everyone has heard the proverb, “You reap what you sow, but most people apply this to circumstances that usually have a negative consequence, like, “He wasted his life on gambling and alcohol and now he is reaping what he sowed.” But it has a far broader meaning than people know or want to admit. It is so broad, as a matter of fact, that if people really thought about it they might find the implications frightening, and yet, on the other hand, it is also a key to unlocking everything you could ever want.

In a nutshell here is the key to life, the universe is a perfect mirror reflecting back to you precisely and exactly what you have been holding at the deepest levels of your consciousness. That sounds so simple, but I don’t think most people ever think about it, or live their lives as if it were true. The very nature of the universe is that it has to give you what you ask for. This is why people of all faiths praying to God by different names still works. If a call goes out with faith, belief, and knowing that there is a God who will answer, the sincerity, belief and conviction of the intention causes the universe to respond. This is the way everything has been set up. It is the perfect system of justice.

So the reason people often don’t have or get what they consciously want is because they have counter programs running deeply within them that put out the opposite intention into the universe. The forces of our feelings and beliefs from the past create the currents that orchestrate circumstances in our life today. This is essentially one of the ways karma works. Whatever we have energized in the past will manifest in our present and future unless we do something to change it.

A Key to Mindfulness & Change

When you finally realize that the universe is a perfect mirror, reflecting back to you precisely and exactly what you have been holding in consciousness at the deepest levels, your life will change. For one thing if you really pursue what this means you will do a deep soul searching, and begin to see how you have created your reality and how to create other realities.

Being aware of the mirror universe also causes you to become much more mindful through the day because you will find you are in the process of creation all the time. This is perhaps the most important and profound understanding you can have about life, because it affects literally every experience you have.

This understanding reduces everything down to a very basic process that is phenomenal. If something in your life is not working you don’t have to waste your time looking outside of yourself for the cause, because it isn’t there. You just look inside and even if you don’t know what the cause is, as long as you get in touch with the feeling it creates you can clear the cause. This is most profound in it’s simplicity.

The Problem

Here’s the first part of the problem. No one likes admitting they are the cause of their own miserable circumstances, so outside causes are always found, or sometimes a person will say we are all responsible for what happened. This is not exactly true. You are totally and completely the source of everything that you experience. I don’t say that to make you feel badly; quite the contrary. I say that so you will realize that since you are the sole source of your life experience you can create your life the way you want it. Can you see who there is tremendous power in this knowledge?

The place to start is by acknowledging that the first part of the problem with accepting the idea of the mirror universe is that you don’t want to believe it.

A True Story

Let me tell you a true story as just one example. A person was having all sorts of trouble with her car. The first problem was that the battery kept going dead and the car was taken into the shop several times but they couldn’t find the problem. Sometimes the battery would go dead and sometimes it wouldn’t. The second problem with this car was that it would stall on occasion. Again, the shop could not find the source of the problem. The third problem was that the ignition would screech when the car was started. This all happened over a period of several weeks and numerous trips to the shop to have the car looked at. None of the problems were able to be resolved.

This person being a conscious person decided to sit down and do some introspection to find out what was being reflected to them through their car troubles. What she discovered was that all 3 car problems related to personal struggles she was going through, and she concluded that her soul, God, or nature was trying to get a message through to her in the most vivid manner possible.

She realized that what was happening on the outside was a reflection of what was happening inside of her. Here is how she analyzed the situation:

1. The battery died before its time. The battery was only 2 years old. She realized she hadn’t charged her goals with enough energy within herself to succeed.

2. The engine would turn over and then stall or die. In her personal life she couldn’t get past the first spark of inspiration to make her ideas get going.

3. The engine would screech when the ignition was attempted. She interpreted this as the engine expressing its outrage toward her because a part of it’s own make-up was in need of repair and she was screaming her outrage at needing her own internal repair.

Now, I know you can say she was creating a myth or story that was all in her imagination, and while that may be true it was still having a real effect on her life.

So she looked at her situations through the model of her life being a mirror of her own consciousness and that enabled her to address her questions, issues and doubts. As a result she was able to get clear and get things moving in her life.

Once she realized there were parallels between what she was experiencing inwardly that were manifesting through problems with her car, when she took the car back to the mechanic and he was able to fix the car and it then ran perfectly.

The universe has all possibilities waiting to manifest, and it supports you in creating whatever you empower to create through your inner beliefs and intentions. Consider…while one person is making excuses why something hasn’t worked for them, someone else is busy making a success of it with very nearly the same tools and circumstances.

The Second Problem with The Mirror Universe Model

Why do things seem to work for some and not others? The answer lies in the second part of the problem associated with the Mirror Universe model, and that is that the source or cause of circumstances is usually not immediately obvious. In fact, the origin of the pattern can date back many years or even lifetimes.

The beliefs you hold are so intrinsically held in your consciousness and in particular the unconscious areas of your mind, that you believe you had nothing to say about how you got where you are and what the circumstances are. You think you are a victim of circumstances, or that you were just dealt a bad hand, or destiny didn’t shine on you, or you have bad luck, or you weren’t born at the right time, in the right place, or with the right parents. Right? Haven’t you thought about some of those things?

Well, if you haven’t thought about those things, think about them now. How did you get where you are? Was it all blind chance? No. The answer lies in realizing you live in a mirror universe. The mirror universe is perhaps the most important and profound understanding you can have about life, because it affects literally every experience you have. It takes everything you try to externalize and says there is nothing external.

Now, don’t get down on yourself about this. I know it would be easy to think you screwed up somewhere and don’t even remember when or how. Don’t go in that direction because the mirror-universe awareness is actually very, very good news because it means that you can change your life. Rather than blaming yourself or anyone else, you can use the many tools for transformation that are available and you go into the very cells of consciousness that have formed your life experiences and shift or release the patterns.

The mirror universe is the perfect system of justice. When anyone makes a willful choice they set in motion the forces for the universe to reflect back to them precisely what they have willed and projected. The manifestation may not be immediate but it will manifest. This reduces everything down to a very basic process that is phenomenal. If something in your life is not the way you want it, look inside and clear the patterns that aren’t working and establish the patterns to create what you want.

How to Work the Mirror Universe in Your Favor

You may say, “I believe I should be healthy, wealthy, and wise, but my life doesn’t reflect it.” If you think about it you would have to admit that you don’t have a clue how your arrived at where you are. You can’t really explain why you exist, and why all the things that have happened in your life have happened the way they have. It all truly seems to emerge from some mysterious place you don’t know much about.

Everything emerges from thoughts, words, actions, beliefs and feelings we have energized in the past. We live in a field of potentiality that creates and forms itself according to our deepest thoughts and patterns we have set in motion. And yet there is no will or consciousness other than your own making decisions for you. It is totally your will, beliefs, intentions and desires that impel creation and therefore your experiences.

Although, thinking of what your life can be is a good start, you must have the idea and vision of where you want to go if you ever expect to get there. If you don’t have that focus then rather than being self-determined you will be subject to the patterns of your past or the whims of others.

You can either make a determination for love and harmony, or one of discord and pain. It is only when you start to awaken to deeper truths than what the 5 senses tell you that you realize how you arrived at where you find yourself today.

Everything you think and do everyday is feeding into the stories which you are scripting and then live by. The stories you tell yourself today are the scripts that will manifest tomorrow. When you understand how this works it will definitely give you a motivation to make you more mindful about what you think, say and do.

The trick is finding out what you are doing that is creating what you don’t want and discovering what you can do to create what you do want. Start by becoming quiet and still and take your attention away from what you don’t want, and place your attention on what you wish to experience. Once you decide what you want believe you can have it, believe you deserve it, believe it’s possible for you and believe it is manifesting in your life now.

When the voice, vision and belief on the inside become more profound and clear than the opinions on the outside, then you have mastered your life.

How to Change Your Life

Written by admin on Jan 1st, 2009 | Filed under: Featured Article, How to Change Your Life

How to Change Your Life

by Denise Ryan

This article gives you eight powerful steps to changing your life. Want things to be different for you? Start here.

As a new year begins or a major birthday approaches, people start thinking about their lives. They sometimes are disappointed by where they are and want to be somewhere else. The things they want are not easy to get – if they were, they would already have them. So how does one set about changing one’s life?

1.) Realize it is up to you. Period. No one is going to do the work for you. You may be able to get some help along the way, but this is completely up to you.

2.) Pick three things only. No more. I know, I know – there’s the bucket list. Here’s my thought on that – why overwhelm yourself? When you accomplish one goal you can add another. But if you list 100 things it’s easy to lose focus and get distracted – doing a little here and a little there. An important part of this is prioritizing your desires. What are the three things you want most now?

3.) I know this is so overused, but think outside your own box. Try to get to the core of things. Why do you want to lose weight? To be healthier? To look better? Do you want to look better because you want to be loved? Is losing weight the right goal or is meeting more people a better goal? What is the most important thing to you? Here’s a list of possible values: http://www.fbpandassociates.com.au/pdf/List-of-Values.pdf . There are many others available online.

To find the right life for you, you have to know what is most important to you at your very core. What is most important to me is freedom. It’s taken me a long time to really understand that, and it may take you a while to get to your core values, but the only way you can be happy is by living your life according to YOUR values – no one else’s.

4.) Write them down and be as specific as you can. Examples:

I want to pay off all my debt by the end of 20XX.

I want to run a mile by the end of February.

I want to go to Australia by 20XX.

Writing them down is crucial as is having a deadline. If reading them doesn’t fill you with excitement, you have the wrong goals. You will know in your gut the goals that are right for you. When I was planning my goals for this past year, I usually include a big trip somewhere. This year it felt right to me to forgo the trip and pay off my mortgage. It wasn’t very exciting, but it has made me very happy. Remember my freedom value? Now that I don’t have a house payment, I am much more free. I don’t have to be as worried about work – I will have a roof over my head. The house payment is an obligation I no longer have. Live according to YOUR values and you will be much happier. These goals are all about you, not the world. You may feel all this pressure to get married or to lose weight, but if you aren’t excited by those goals, let them go. This is your life we are charting.

5.) You can change your mind at any time. If you start researching your trip to Australia and decide you’d rather just go to New Zealand – that’s okay. Or if you decide you want to push a deadline back, that’s okay too. Changing your mind is not the same as giving up. You give up if you still really want the goal but you got lazy and quit working toward it. That leads to regret – I don’t want you to have regrets. Just give yourself more time.

6.) If you aren’t making progress, regroup. Are you doing the right things? Maybe you need to do some research or ask for help. I see people in the gym all the time fooling themselves that they are working out; women lifting 5 lb. dumbbells wondering why they don’t have great arms. They need to get a trainer, a book, a video – they aren’t working hard enough to get the results they want. Or their form is so bad they might as well be sitting at home watching TV. This can be true with any change. You’re trying hard, but need more information.

7.) Build in some cool rewards. If you lose 10 pounds, treat yourself to a spa visit. Losing 10 pounds is hard! Choose rewards that will keep you working toward the goal and give them to yourself! Most of us are great at beating ourselves up, but awful at rewarding ourselves. Do it!

8.) Take some action toward your goal every day, even if it is small. Little things add up. They also help build momentum for bigger things. With the mortgage, I had been making extra payments for years. But when I wrote down the goal to pay it off, it made me really think about how I could do it, what it would be like to have no house payment! I took all the trip money , some savings and BLAM – did it. But it was all those little extra payments that helped me get there.

Stop reading this and figure how who the hell you really are and exactly what you want. Write it down. Make it happen. Or don’t – it’s completely up to you.

The Power of Presence by Audrey Mairi

The Power of Presence

by Audrey Mairi

All around us is a life-giving, life-regulating power that always has been and always will be. Called the Life Force, it is the active aspect of the intelligence that is the Source of all life. The most healing, empowering, and creative act we can do for ourselves is to consciously connect to this force, which can only be experienced in the present moment. In the present moment connection is automatic.

Such a connection is not intellectual; it is a feeling. Having a mental understanding of the subject merely points the way to the experience; it is not the experience itself. “You can’t try to get it,” Dr. Milton Trager, developer of the TragerÒ Approach, said. “…to try is to fail. You don’t try. To try is effort and effort is tension. We don’t try. We just allow it to happen.”

This is a paradigm shift. Most are caught up in trying, in exerting as much effort as they can to get their desired outcome. Few have learned how to not try. They have no experience of what effortlessness feels like, and therefore even less experience being connected to the Life Force. People who consciously connect to the Life Force describe it as a feeling of peace, or lightness of being. Others use words such as stability, joy, empowerment, clarity, and a sense of homecoming. But whatever words we put to it, what matters is the feeling in our body/mind.

Trager is a practical approach to living, not just a way to fix pain in the body. Its practicality is its magic. Those who embrace the Trager Approach quickly learn that it works best when applied to all areas of life. For example, when we wash the dishes, or type at a computer, or lay hands on a client’s body, we do the same thing: we allow ourselves to show up in the present moment, and thereby “hook-up” to the feelings inherent in the Life Force. This is where our power comes from, and where lasting healing is accessed.

To foster a connection we use a series of simple tools. These tools can be used anywhere, anytime, and by anyone no matter their physical condition. Dr. Trager called these tools MentasticsÒ (derived from the two words mental gymnastics). In my book, Trager for Self-Healing: A Practical Guide for Living in the Present Moment, I discuss a variety of Mentastics, but for now let’s look at the three most basic ones. They are: 1) pausing, 2) mindful breathing, and 3) feeling the weight.

They sound simple, but when used consistently the effect on our lives is profound. These tools will lead us out of our spinning mind and into a present moment experience where our negativity floats away, leaving peace. Imagine giving a speech and being able to release your anxiety, accessing instead clarity and joy. Imagine letting loose your apprehension over your aging mother’s health, and being able to access love and trust. Imagine after your vacation feeling overwhelmed by a three week back-log of work, then letting it go to be replaced by a sense of stability and lightness.

Before we can consciously connect to the Life Force, the first thing we need to do is apply the breaks to our doing, both in our mind and body, and…pause. Stop talking, stop walking, stop worrying, fretting, controlling, and…pause. A pause helps us to become the observer instead of the reactor. It is a gateway that opens our body/mind to the intelligent life-giving, life-regulating power all around us.

The second thing we do is…breath mindfully. After a pause we put our awareness on our breath, taking our attention from out there and placing it in here. With practice, we become centered, like being at the hub of a wheel. At the hub, our perspective broadens, becoming multifaceted. Our assumptions soften. We awaken to the realization that we are not the pains we feel, or the thoughts we have—they are only one or two spokes of our wheel—but are instead part of an interconnected web of consciousness.

Once we have paused our doing and our thinking and have centered ourselves through mindful breathing, we enter a present moment experience by feeling weight. When we pay attention to the downward pull of gravity we enter into the physicality of the here and now. The next time you are putting the groceries away, doing the dishes, or lifting a hammer, feel the weight as you move the object through space. The next time you are holding the hand of someone you love, pause, breathe, and feel its weight. Rather than holding it up, let it rest in your palm. You will experience a positive life-affirming sensation. This is a present moment experience.

Try it. Right now. Wherever you are.

1. Pause. Let go of reading this article.

2. Become mindful of your breath—like an umbrella opening and closing.

3. Now shift your body from side to side. Feel its weight move through space.

If you use these three simple tools throughout your day you will feel differently. Your awareness of the Life Force flowing through your body/mind will grow and bloom, and in turn so will your empowerment, wellness, and creativity. This is the power of Presence.

Chakras are Organs of the Ethereal Body

Written by admin on Nov 9th, 2008 | Filed under: Chakras, Featured Article

Chakras are Organs of the Ethereal Body

The chakras are the organs of the ethereal body which work in harmony with the physical organs allowing the physical bodies to evolve into beautiful forms for the spirit of the Creator to enter and express through.

The chakras are simply energy centers, storehouses for the vibrating atoms, the first stirrings of life in the cosmos. In the beginning it was simply the air that played around and lifted grains of sand which had crumbled off of the pristine rock surfaces and placed them down on the ground near water. This caused a chemical reaction between the minerals in the soil and the algae in the water. This gave birth to the Botanical Kingdom and provided a form for this energy to be embedded in.

The root chakra, the first chakra, was the first bundle of energy to be embodied in a manifested form in physical matter. The Botanical Kingdom evolved through the decaying and rotting of matter into the one cell amoeba. The root chakra, or kundalini, was the only chakra in these early life forms. The total being was centered in that kundalini for the life giving properties and energies. It was the center of the vibrating atoms and was quite necessary in those early forms of life when the animals used their tail for means of locomotion and for protection.

The root chakra was not needed in the animals that were to follow into the human kingdom, as they would no longer need the tail. This chakra was sealed over and the tail eventually disappeared from man. The bundle of energy was then embedded in the second chakra, the sacral plexus to insure survival of the race. The second chakra, the sacral plexus, was in essence the only one operating in the “cave man.” It is the center of survival, of animal instinct such as eating, sleeping and procreating.

The third chakra, the solar plexus, came into being gradually. In the early Lemurian days, actually it was a stage before Lemuria called Lamania, the third center developed. This third center, which was the sensing of other’s thoughts, developed as primitive man felt a definite need for communication with his own kind to differentiate between themselves and the animals. It was a very slow development as the energy of the second chakra was not closed off. It had to be kept, so it was necessary to grow and build and develop this third chakra or energy center from scratch.

This stage was followed more quickly by the addition of the heart chakra at the same time that these simple creatures developed a conscience, a need to feel responsible for their actions against others. This heart chakra was a quickly developing one, as it became urgently necessary to keep the animal/men from destroying each other. Thus the animal began to have feelings and emotions to deal with in connection with his instincts. The third center, the solar plexus, was not deliberately closed off, but fell into disuse due to the heavy activity of the
second and fourth centers.

Thus the animal forms had developed into an upright, almost tailless form that began to sense their difference from the animals that stayed on all fours. They began letting others know what they meant by simple grunts and sign language. The sensing of other’s thoughts, this ESP, so to speak, begin fading, and needing a means to communicate, the throat chakra drew the energy bundle from the solar plexus up to the throat and the fifth chakra came into being. The grunts turned into distinguishable, intelligent sounds that developed quickly into a language.

The next chakra, the third eye, developed due partly to man’s deviousness and cunning and manipulation, and partly due to disuse of the solar plexus. When they wanted to know what others were thinking so they could manipulate them or beat them at inventing something, they used their imagination to visualize what the other was thinking, trying to second-guess the other, playing games, making up stories, telling fairy tales, and getting the person to respond to the games and daydreams. When this got carried too far drastic action was needed and the Atlantean civilization was destroyed.

Civilization was started over, but not clear back to the one cell again, by restructuring the chakra system. The use of the first chakra was still not needed and was completely sealed at this time. The second was still in use, the third one was reinstated, the fourth one was more separated from the second, functioning more individually from the instinct of the second. The fifth one was left as it was and the sixth one closed, sealed off and the spot for the seventh chakra was added. The energy from the sixth was sent to the seventh center but it was still sealed off until such time as it would be needed and safe to bestow on humanity.

The three lower chakras will set the goals. The root chakra gives the drive, the will to survive, the strength to forge ahead. The second chakra, the sacral plexus, gives the creativity to design your own life and the third chakra gives you the ability to psychically communicate with other kingdoms and other people. In the three higher kingdoms, the throat chakra gives you the ability to express your goals and creativity and to communicate with other kingdoms. The sixth chakra, the third eye gives you the ability to visualize creativity, and the crown chakra gives you the ability to communicate with the higher kingdoms. The fourth chakra, the heart chakra, functions as a transformer enabling all the other chakras to work in combination with each other.

The heart chakra transforms the physical evolution instinctual behavior of the animal kingdom into that of being a human being. Without these transforming capabilities, humanity would not have progressed to the point where it could serve as vehicles of expression for the spirits to enter. The three lower kingdoms draw from that which went before you in time of a physical nature. The three higher kingdoms allow you to access that which went before you in time of a spiritual nature. Both of these are used to form your own universe which is your heart chakra.

How To Meditate – A Beginners Guide.

Written by admin on Nov 9th, 2008 | Filed under: Featured Article, Meditation for Beginners

How To Meditate – A Guide For The Complete Beginner

Meditation is not a complex matter. It’s not even a spiritual practice, as many people think, unless you wish to make it one. It is more like aerobics for the mind. It tones and tunes up the thinking processes and the emotions and brings everyday life into sharper focus and new degrees of ease and harmony. It will NOT turn you into a flower- brandishing pansy or a grinning freak. It can improve your athletic performance or your love life, even increase your IQ. And the best part about meditation is that it requires nothing on your part but the time it takes to do it.
Start by choosing a comfortable chair. If you’re new to this, we don’t advise using your bed. The chair should have a high back and sloped enough to support your head so it won’t drop into your lap when you relax. Sit down, sink in as deep as you can, and close your eyes.

Once your body is relaxed, keep your eyes closed and try to blank your mind, pushing aside every thought that pops up. You might be surprised how busy your mind really is, but this will be a lot of fun if you give it a try, even though it might take weeks before you can blank your mind for even a couple of seconds. Don’t think this means you’re going to have to work. The longer it takes the more stressed your mind was to begin with and the more benefit you’ll get from any improvement. This mind-blanking business can be frustrating at times, but it is definitely worth the effort, or lack of effort if you will. This clearing of the mind is more a growing process than something to be learned, so no one can really teach you how to do it. Transcendental Meditation (TM) has been using one technique for several years which seems to help, however. It involves the mental repetition of short, meaningless word in time with your breathing. The word acts as a focus point, something for the mind to latch onto, and it makes it easier for stray thoughts to fade into the background.

The first few times you try this, one of two things should happen. One type of person will find they can’t seem to relax their minds. They will suddenly begin a train of thought and may follow it for several minutes before remembering the original reason for relating. That’s fine. This loss of concentration indicates a degree of relaxation, and this sort of contemplation can be very valuable, as it can provide new insights into old subjects.

A second type of person will have dreamlets, the mini-dreams you have before falling asleep. After trying to pull themselves out of the dreamlets a few times, they will probably fall asleep. That too is fine. This indicates an ability to relax at will, and the person only needs to learn how to remain mentally alert while in the relaxed state.

You’ll find trying this, even unsuccessfully, for as little as a week, that your waking level of concentration, your resistance to stress and your endurance in all sorts of tasks will have increased. It will continue to increase long after you have learned to really blank your mind.

Once you are able to do that, you will find your mind becomes a clear screen on which you can project the most vivid fantasies, analyze problems and situations with amazing clarity and objectivity and delve into the depths of your thinking processes. That’s only a side benefit. As we have said, the most exciting benefits are seen in your day-to-day life.

You can remain in a meditative state as long as you like, but from five to twenty minutes after you reach that level of relaxed alertness your body will probably want to rise again. You can open your eyes and go about your business any time you like, although you may find yourself either a little drowsy or very energetic. People react differently to relaxation. You should immediately notice a calmness and vigor that will stay with you through the day.

These effects occur because meditation produces a response from the brain similar to that of the stress-reducing techniques. It regulates and increases your mental tolerance to all kinds of stimulus. So instead of a brain-wave curve most of us carry around that would sound like grungy acid-rock if you hear it, your brain-wave curve will come to resemble more and more the sound of a flute or massed strings. And that will do you a world of good, even if you happen to be a grungy acid-rock musician!

The Most Important Dimension of Human Existence by Eckhart Tolle

Written by admin on Nov 5th, 2008 | Filed under: Featured Article

We’re here to find that dimension

within ourselves

that is deeper than thought.

This teaching isn’t based on knowledge, on new interesting facts, new information. The world is full of that already. You can push any button on the many devices you have and get information. You’re drowning in information.

And ultimately, what is the point of it all? More information, more things, more of this, more of that. Are we going to find the fullness of life through more things and greater and bigger shopping malls?

Are we going to find ourselves through improving our ability to think and analyze, and accumulate more information, more stuff? Is “more” going to save the world? It’s all form.

You can never make it on the level of form. You can never quite arrange and accumulate all the forms that you think you need so that you can be yourself fully.

Sometimes you can do it for a brief time span. You can suddenly find everything working in your life: your health is good; your relationship is great; you have money, possessions, love, and respect from other people.

But before long, something starts to crumble here or there, either the finances or the relationship, your health or your work or living situation. It is the nature of the world of form that nothing stays fixed for very long — and so it starts to fall apart again.

* * *

The voice in the head that never stops speaking

becomes a civilization that is obsessed with form,

and therefore knows nothing of the most important

dimension of human existence:

the sacred,

the stillness,

the formless,

the divine.

“What does it profit you if you gain the whole world and lose yourself?”

* * *

It has been said that there are two ways of being unhappy: not getting what you want, and getting what you want.

When people attain what the world tells us is desirable — wealth, recognition, property, achievement — they’re still not happy, at least not for long. They’re not at peace with themselves. They don’t have a true sense of security, a sense of finally having arrived.

Their achievements have not provided them with what they were really looking for — themselves. They have not given them the sense of being rooted in life, or as Jesus calls it, the fullness of life.

The form of this moment is the portal into the formless dimension. It is the narrow gate that Jesus talks about that leads to life. Yes, it’s very narrow: it’s only this moment.

To find it, you need to roll up the scroll of your life on which your story is written, past and future. Before there were books, there were scrolls, and you rolled them up when you were done with them.

So put your story away. It is not who you are. People usually live carrying a burden of past and future, a burden of their personal history, which they hope will fulfill itself in the future. It won’t, so roll up that old scroll. Be done with it.

You don’t solve problems by thinking; you create problems by thinking. The solution always appears when you step out of thinking and become still and absolutely present, even if only for a moment. Then, a little later when thought comes back, you suddenly have a creative insight that wasn’t there before.

Let go of excessive thinking and see how everything changes. Your relationships change because you don’t demand that the other person should do something for you to enhance your sense of self. You don’t compare yourself to others or try to be more than someone else to strengthen your sense of identity.

You allow everyone to be as they are. You don’t need to change them; you don’t need them to behave differently so that you can be happy.

There’s nothing wrong with doing new things, pursuing activities, exploring new countries, meeting new people, acquiring knowledge and expertise, developing your physical or mental abilities, and creating whatever you’re called upon to create in this world.

It is beautiful to create in this world, and there is always more that you can do.

Now the question is, Are you looking for yourself in what you do? Are you attempting to add more to who you think you are? Are you compulsively striving toward the next moment and the next and the next, hoping to find some sense of completion and fulfillment?

The preciousness of Being is your true specialness. What the egoic self had been looking for on the level of the story — I want to be special — obscured the fact that you could not be more special than you already are now. Not special because you are better or more wretched than someone else, but because you can sense a beauty, a preciousness, an aliveness deep within.

When you are present in this moment,

you break the continuity of your story, of past and future.

Then true intelligence arises,

and also love.

The only way love can come into your life

is not through form, but through that inner spaciousness that is Presence.

Love has no form.

The Healing Power of Crystals

Written by amethyst on Aug 24th, 2008 | Filed under: Featured Article, The Healing Power of Crystals

Crystals, gems and minerals are not only beautiful and wondrous to look at, they can also be used to improve your life physically, mentally, emotionally and spiritually.

Crystals have long been used to heal and balance the mind, body and spirit. They work through resonance and vibration.

All living things have a ‘life force’ which flows through it. This is also known as qi, chi, prana, or energy flow.

Aura and Chakras

Transcending the physical body we have subtle bodies known as the aura and chakras.

Chakras are centres of activity, or channels through which life energy flows through. There are six major chakras located in the physical body and one chakra (crown), just above the top of the head.

These chakras are located in an ascending line running up through the center of the body from the base of the spine to the top of the head.

The function of chakras is to spin and draw life energy to keep spiritual, mental, emotional and physical health of the body in balance. When these chakras are inhibited or sluggish vitality decreases and disease occurs.

The aura is an energy field that surrounds the physical body in several layers. Each layer has a colour that represents aspects of our make-up; esoteric, emotional, mental, astral and spiritual.

A problem in one layer will affect other layers, spreading the imbalance to the body and manifests itself as distress and disease.
